What Is Alzheimer's Disease?


Alzheimer's is the most common form of dementia. It is a neurological brain disorder that is irreversible, progressive, and degenerative. Alzheimer's presents itself with a subtle onset of memory loss followed by impaired judgement, language problems, orientation, and proper functioning. It slowly progresses to different regions of the brain where it destroys the cells associated there and their function. Over time, the disease causes people to change their behavior and lose their personality, as well as slowly losing physical function.
